1. Name
The club shall be known as "Summerhayes Juniors Fishing Club" (hereafter referred to as "the Club").

3. Membership
3.1 Membership is open to all children under the age of 16 with parental/guardian consent.
3.2 Parents/Guardians are required to accompany their children during sessions unless the Committee has voted otherwise.
3.3 Membership fees shall be reviewed annually and set by the Club Committee.
3.4 All members must abide by the Club’s Code of Conduct.
4. Club Structure
4.1 The Club shall be managed by a Committee consisting of:
4.2 The Committee shall meet at least quarterly and hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) each year.
4.3 Decisions shall be made by a majority vote; in the case of a tie, the Chairperson has the deciding vote.
4.4 A quorum for meetings shall be at least 50% of the Committee members.
5. Safeguarding & Welfare
5.1 The Club shall implement a Safeguarding Policy in line with the Angling Trust guidelines.
5.2 A designated Safeguarding Officer will oversee welfare and protection matters.
5.3 All coaches and volunteers working with children must have a valid DBS check.
6. Health & Safety
6.1 The Club shall conduct risk assessments for all venues and activities.
6.2 First aid provisions shall be available at all sessions.
6.3 An Incident Report Form shall be used to record accidents or injuries.
6.4 Parents/guardians must provide medical information for junior members where necessary.
7. Equal Opportunities & Inclusion
7.1 The Club shall be inclusive and provide opportunities for all children, including those with disabilities or additional needs.
7.2 Discrimination, bullying, or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
8. Finance
8.1 The Treasurer shall manage club funds and maintain accurate financial records.
8.2 All income shall be used solely for the benefit of the Club.
8.3 The financial year shall end on 31st December each year.
8.4 An annual statement of accounts shall be presented at the AGM.
9. Meetings & Voting
9.1 The AGM shall be held annually to review activities, finances, and elect Committee members.
9.2 Special General Meetings (SGMs) may be called if necessary.
9.3 All full members (parents/guardians) shall have voting rights at the AGM.
10. Amendments to the Constitution
10.1 Proposed amendments must be submitted in writing and approved by the Committee before being voted on at the AGM.
11. Dissolution
11.1 In the event of dissolution, any remaining funds shall be donated to a fishing-related charity or another junior angling initiative.
